Welcome Visionaries and soon to be Transformers!
Glad to see you back so soon! If you have not done so, Please read the previous post (Part 2) "It all starts with a vision" before reading on.
Working towards achieving our goals and dreams start off with a vision, but we can't stop there. I REPEAT YOU CAN NOT STOP THERE! In order to get yourself out of the rut of dreaming, wishing, hoping and praying we must take another step. Making the choice to take the next step not only sets you apart, but gets you closer to achieving your dreams and bringing your vision to life. Plus if you don't take a step, then you will be standing still allowing your dreams, goals, and vision to go to waste. They were planted there for a reason and its your responsibility to act!
Next you need to have a Plan to go along with your vision!
Your plan is how you will get there! Taking the next step is crucial to achieving your goals and dreams. We shift from dreaming to preparing. In Luke 14:28-33, Jesus gives a great example on the importance of having plans. Your plan gives you direction in the way that you should go. This plan can be comprised of short term or long term goals, or both. The goal is for your plan to provide you with the next steps to accomplish your goal and or dream. Proverbs 16:9, says "In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.” Seek God for guidance and direction, so that He can direct your path. Be open to what God is trying to do in you and through you. CAUTION- Don't be so busy planning that you don't give God enough room to make His move. Leave space for Him to make adjustments and changes, because He knows best. Ultimately it is HIS WILL and HIS Plan for your life. You must have a plan in place to go after the desires of you heart, that God has placed on and in you.
What does this plan look like? What steps do you need to take? Do you need to go back to school? Do you need to find a network? Do you need to save more? What new habits do you need to implement? What old ones do you need to let go? How big or small the steps are should not be the focus. Just make an effort to take them and just do it. Know that you can't get to the end without a beginning. Make sure to write out your plans and goals to correspond with the greater vision you have for your life. Don't despise small beginnings and embrace the journey along the way. Make sure your goals align with your bigger vision. The goals you set for yourself should connect and pave the way to your larger goal.
