Today's focus for MindSet Monday's is:
Commanding your day by Welcoming and Embracing Today!
The hard yet true reality is that Yesterday is over. Yes it is really over! I know I know how painful that can be to accept, but it is crucial. Trust me I know what it feels like to wish you could go back and change some things. Change some things you did or did not do. It is gone and has already happened. Yesterday is in the past. There is nothing you can do about yesterday, expect learn from it and move forward. Tomorrow is not here just yet. We get so caught up in yesterdays mess and tomorrows plans, that we forget about a very important day. TODAY!
Today is the most important day and the only day that matters. It is so easy to forget about Today. All you have is TODAY! Don't miss out on what Today brings. Today is a brand new day. Filled with brand new grace and mercy. Today is a day filled with opportunity and life's unexpectedness. Welcome today by living in today and in the moment. You can not welcome today by brining in yesterdays residue mixed with tomorrows worries. Empty today of tomorrows troubles and yesterdays regrets. Don't rob today of its joy. Today has so much in store for you and you won't get to experience it if you can't enjoy it. Appreciate today for its new possibilities and chances. Embrace today for all that it has to offer. Today will never come again. Today you have been given another chance and clean slate to start over fresh. If you don't like the way things have been going, Today you can change that. Use today to shape you future. Welcome Today by putting the past behind you and accepting what was. Move your attention from anything in the future and focus only on today. Today holds more power than you think!
Yesterday I did not realize that I left my car in the front of my building for over 5 hours with my hazards on. It was brought to my attention at 11pm that my car was still out front. Of course my battery had drained and my car wouldn't start. I had to call AAA to come to the rescue. I couldn't believe what had just happened and what I did. I started to harp on it and couldn't shake the fact that it happened. A new friend of mine which I think will become a good friend 🙂 simply reminded me that this is LIFE. Life happens and its OK. They shared great insight with me about the positive side to the unexpected. Needless to say I was able to quickly move on from what had happened. Of course I learned from this mistake and I am grateful it was rectified before I got up this morning to go to work! Today I have chosen not to bring yesterdays unfortunate mishap ruin a new day! My car is running fine and Today was not impacted by it! Thanks friend 🙂
Matthew 6:34 says, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
My Challenge to you!
Welcome and embrace today for the new day it is and all that it has to offer. Let go of the past and don't fret about the future. You can not control what happened yesterday or what will happen tomorrow. You can control what you will do with Today. Choose Today to be open! Make the Choice to Embrace Today and live and be in the moments of today. Be your very best today with all you have. Choose to realize and operate in the knowing that what's done is done and what has happened, just has happened. Once you truly commit to this powerful decision and walk in this life principle, you can truly enjoy Today!
Share your Thoughts. How will you Welcome Today? What changes will you make to embrace this very day?
