Today is a very Special Day! Why? I am glad you asked! Not only is it MindSet Monday's but It's My 30th Birthday!!!!!!
Today's focus for MindSet Monday's is: Celebrating Your Accomplishments
A very good friend of mine has been getting on me lately about not celebrating my accomplishments. In my case simply finding a reason to have a party is not the same as celebrating an accomplishment that I set out to achieve. Dang! So majority of the time I let what he was saying go in one ear and out the other. As I thought about it, he had a very good point. What good is an accomplishment if you can not celebrate it?! Shouldn't you be happy about goals that you set and meet? Why not celebrate your life?
Was I being ungrateful and unappreciative? Maybe I had been down playing all my accomplishments because they seemed minor and insignificant in my eyes. I felt like my accomplishments were not that major or important, considering what lyes ahead. Hey they were just normal achievements that appeared average when looking at everyone and thing around me. I realize that with this outlook I could never celebrate or appreciate my accomplishments. Don't worry if the goal you have accomplished has not manifested in the exact way you planned. The victory of the accomplishment alone deserves a celebration! I am not average and never will be. Neither will you! I am Unique and so are you! You have done some great things that you may not even care about, but to someone else its amazing. Every one of our accomplishments big and small deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated. I have decided that Today and for now on I am taking my friends advice and will Command my days be Celebrating my achievements!
I have never had an issue celebrating my birthdays but this one has been different. I have struggled to find the happiness of this day because of what once was present is not. Today I turn 30 years old and I am celebrating. This is a huge milestone for me and I will not downplay it. I have come along way and have so much to celebrate. Sometimes it can be hard to find joy in the midst of life's troubles, so a choice must be made to celebrate your progress. As I celebrate my Birthday today here are a few other things I am celebrating.
Here are just a few things that I have accomplished……that I am Choosing to acknowledge and celebrate!
🙂 Passing my Counseling exam and earning my License as a Professional Counselor (LPC) and becoming Nationally certified!
🙂 Moving out and into my OWN SPACE!
🙂 Starting my first blog UniquelyUncut.com!
🙂 Learning how to cook!
🙂 Being hired to teach and successfully completing training
🙂 Turning 30!
🙂 I MADE IT! I am still standing and still HERE!
My Challenge to you!
Choose today to start Celebrating your Accomplishments. Make a list of all your accomplishments. If you list everything it will enlarge your perspective and break the cycle of discrediting your accomplishments. Big or small they are all accomplishments. This list shows you that you can do anything you put your mind to. Choose to celebrate these accomplishments. It does not matter how you decide to celebrate only that you celebrate. Be encouraged and motivated! Stop looking at where you are not at and miss all that you have worked hard to accomplish.
With as many times as I have said the word accomplishment (which is a lot) your brain should be reprogrammed by now LOL
Share your thoughts! Have you been downplaying some, any or all of your accomplishments? How did your outlook change after your wrote your list of accomplishments? How will you choose to celebrate your achievements?
