Tomorrow is not promised nor guaranteed. Every single day that you wake up, God has give you the gift of life. Life is a gift and it should be treated as just that. Someone else was not given the luxury of life today. Despite everything that you have endured and are currently facing, you have MADE IT! You are STILL HERE! You are being kept and sustained! You may not be exactly where you want to be or have all that you desire, but you have more than enough. If you can not be appreciative and happy for anything else, you can be grateful that you have a pulse and you are breathing.
Psalm 100:4 says, "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name." (NKJV)
It can be so easy to forget or take for granted our accomplishments and how far we have come. Sometimes it can be hard to appreciate all that we have when looking at everything that we don't have or feel we need. Be grateful for all things, small and big. Gratitude by definition is the quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful. Gratitude turns what we have into enough! Gratitude makes us happy. Gratitude shows appreciate for even the small things and allows an opening for God to give you more.
My Challenge to you!
Take a moment to pause, stop and look around. Think about what you are grateful for. Only you know what you are thankful for. You shouldn't have to look far but it is right in front of your eyes.
