Day 3: Write a Love Letter to Your Future Self
"If you aren't good at loving yourself, you will have a difficult time loving anyone, since you'll resent the time and energy you give another person that you aren't even giving to yourself."
– Barbara De Angelis
1: Write yourself an inspiring letter about how your life will be improved in the next 30 days. Use the outline below for your letter or just freestyle your own!
I used to write love letters all the time but not to myself. Here's to a love letter to Me Loving Who I am Becoming 🙂
Dear future Micah B,
You did that! I love you, if I haven't told you lately. I love everything about you, the good and the bad. I am falling in love with with so many new things about you. I knew you were stronger than you thought. See! I know that your mother is so pleased as she looks down on all of your progress. She is not worried but peaceful. When I see you I see God. I love the new woman you have become. God is smiling down on you 🙂 I know how much you wanted to move out the city but shoot I can't tell now. You have taken the city by storm and loving every minute of it. You have truly learned to be content in whatever state you find yourself in. You view your job in a new light and know that God is using you. I just love how you took a great leap of faith and kept moving in the midst of your fears. I love how you seize the moment I am so proud of you making strides to live out your goals and dreams. Opportunities left and right seem to be coming up. You got that teaching job, SHUT UP! These students gone love you. I always new that you would be happiest working for yourself as you impacted and touched lives. You are almost there and closer than you think to becoming self employed. Everything is starting to fall into line and becoming clearer. You finally let go and let God. You are on your way. You don't play any games chick….you said that 2014 would not be the same as 2013 and you have gotten a head start. I knew you said you would fight but damnnnnnn. Ok I see you boo looking too good! All that working dirty and eating clean paid off. Where they do that at. Girl I am loving you! You stay in that gym and early in the AM at that. You practically live in there. Heck they hiring LOL. I love how you are saving more, paying off debt and have a new stream of income. I love how when you talk to Sallie Mae you are in good spirits and have a plan to work with them. Girl you stay kicking it with your family, I miss you but its cool boo. I am so glad that you are accepting where you are with the grieving process and ok with the fact that you don't have all the answers. You have connected with your mother spiritually and you cry and laugh as you remember how perish she was to you. I admire you for letting God move and have his way and not question or doubt what He is doing. OMG OMG you haven't snapped out or pushed ole dude away. You have held them emotions and that mouth piece of yours in check! I am scared of you. It is about to do down. I love that you are loving walking in love and it you make look so easy. I always loved you but when I watch you growing and enduring the way you do, it makes my heart skip a beat. You are so positive! So much has changed in your life, mentally, spiritually, emotionally everything shoot. You have jumped back as if you were never down. Your mind is more alert than ever and your relationship with Christ is closer than ever. You have a testimony! You are hearing Gods voice more clearly and using wisdom in every decision you make. Girl you are not the same person you were a month ago and I am in LOVE with who you have and are becoming. I love how you love life and embracing each and every moment by living! You are looking more and more how God created you. Micah I am shouting for you! Congrats honey for who you are becoming. God has worked out the details and you surrender, hoping and trusting the whole way through. Won't He do it! He did it alright! Accepting your past, embracing your present and manifesting your future. You have come a mighty long way. I see the happiness in you and love where you are. You ands your life are better and you fought hard for it. Your not only back to your old self again but better. You kept it real with yourself and look at you now. As hard has the last few months have been, you managed to pick up the pieces and put your life back together again. Ok Love I can go on and on at home much I am proud of you so keep it up! Its people out there that love who you have become. Keep doing you boo cause you do it oh so well! Welcome to the new you! I love it!
