Day 5: Envision Your Values in Action 
It's never too late to change course. 
If this is not the life you want, love yourself enough to try another path. 

I am excited that yesterdays Day 4 exercise was the first step in creating a personal mission statement. Today we are taking it a step further and working on Part 2 of my mission statement. This is actually the next step is my Book- "5:Where will I be 5 years from today?" Killing two birds with one stone, I love it! Confirmation that I am moving in the right direction 🙂

It is time for some Action! What good is saying a thing and knowing a thing but doing the complete opposite? Its time to put an end to all this talking of goals, values and visions and put forth action to make it come to pass. How bad do you really want it? Prove it! So bad that you are willingly to press the issue?!

Today’s exercise involves two parts to help me dig deeper in thinking about how I
can incorporate my values into my daily life. 

Part 1: What Do My Values Look Like in Action?

What kinds of things would you be doing if you were living in full accordance with your values? For each value that you identified in your “Reset 10,″ list out at least three actions that you would be taking if you were to honor and fulfill that value in your life. 

My Reset 10

1. Faith/Spirituality-Success(Purpose/Gods will/Calling)

  1. Seek God every single morning(1st and foremost) w/ Praise&Thanks/Prayer/Devotion/Bible Study (45mins-1hr), throughout the day with Meditation and at night with Gratitude/Prayer. (3)
  2. Be consistent and active in Ministry (2)
  3. Discern when God is speaking (Being still/quiet), be obedient and walk in his word and ways. Increase my trust, belief and faith more by not being driven by what I see and feel. ​​Allow God to be fully and completely in control. (3)

2. Fun/Social

  1. Pick up a hobby or join a group (2)
  2. Plan outings with my friends (dinner, movies, and more) (10)
  3. Network (meet new people) (1)

3. Personal time ("ME" time)/Personal growth and development

  1. Take at least one vacation out of state/country by myself per year (8)

  2. Set aside one entire day dedicated to my self and daily spend time away from all distractions (cut off phone, TV, etc) and read, write (8)

  3. Join groups, attend workshops and conferences (5)

4. Health/Wellness (Physical/Mental)

  1. Exercises consistently at least 3-5 times a week (7)

  2. Eating healthy daily (including juicing, lots of fruits and vegetables)/ Taking Vitamins daily (8)

  3. Daily morning routine of positive affirmations and meditation. Journaling (either in AM or PM) **Starting day at 6am*** (1)

5. Family/friendships

  1. Spending more time with my family by visiting them @ least 1x per week or every 2weeks/Calling them weekly (spending time where I grew up) (2)

  2. Making a point to reach (phone or text) out to all my close friends weekly to check in/catch up & show/express my appreciation. Set up dates/outings with family and friends that I need to connect/spend more time with (7)

  3. Visit my mothers grave site more often. Talk to her daily through prayer or journaling. Incorporate reminders of her in my daily life. (1)


Part 2: Am I Currently Living Out My Values? 
Now that you’re clear on what you really care about, you want to compare your values 
to how you’re currently living your life. For each value that you identified in your 
“Reset 10″ rate yourself from 1-10 on how you feel you’re acting out that particular 
value in your life.
