Day 4: Identify Your Values
"This is my life. It is my one time to be me. I want to experience every good thing." – Maya Angelou
It is only Day 4 and this has been an amazing journey. From the exploration, thought provoking activities to soul searching and honesty. If you have not been to HappyWoman.com I suggest you check it out. The 31dayreset FB community is awesome! I have never seen so many positive and loving women in the same place (social media). Has me rethinking the use of Social Media. It can be powerful, life changing and meaningful depending on how you use it.
Thought to Ponder: How and why do you use Social Media? Are you and others benefiting from your use? Or are others being tortured and merely entertained? You decide.
First: Take at least 15 minutes to jot down a free-for-all list of all the things that mean a lot to you in your life, all the things you care about. Feel free to take more time if you need it.

Next:Your Reset 10
Once you identify all of your values – all the things you care about, choose your “Reset 10″ – a list of your TOP 10 values from your list. They don’t have to be in any particular order, though you may certainly rank them if you’d like.
Tomorrow, we will move on to the next step in the process of developing a personal mission statement: envisioning your values in action.
It was hard to get my Reset 10 down to just 10 so I did a lot of combining 🙂 No worries I did not cheat lol they are in the same category and similar. Most importantly I value the Power of Free Will/Choice and each of my Reset 10 will not and couldn't not be accomplished without exercising the Power of Choice! Thank you Lord for free will!
My Reset 10
3. Personal time ("ME" time)/Personal growth and development
7. Love(walking in love/romantic/companionship)
8. Wealth/Financial freedom/Stability
9. Career/Entrepreneurship (pursuing goals and dreams)
10. Servant hood/Giving(time,talents & treasures)
As one who strives for personal growth and development, I was already prepared for todays exercise. I am presently reading and working on a book titled "5:Where will I be 5 years from today?" One of the very very first exercises was to list your top 5 Values. This book is amazing. It makes for a very easy read leaving a powerful impression. It challenges you to THINK BIG and Forward thinking. I have found so many people from co-workers to friends who have the book or have gotten the book. It presents a great way to connect and grow with others. (Reminds me I have to add this book to my Resource list 🙂 )
Share your thoughts. What do you care about most? What is important to you? What do you value? What at do you stand for?
